Mark E. Crone – managing partner

Mark is the Principal with over 23 years of corporate and securities law experience. Prior to re-launching The Crone Law Group. Mr. Crone was a principal and managing partner of The Crone Law Group from 2000 through 2013.

Mr. Crone has extensive experience representing micro-cap and small-cap publicly traded companies as well as emerging growth and established private companies.


Eric Mendelson – partner

Mr. Mendelson is a transactional attorney with over 20 years of global business and legal experience gained in a combination of law firm and in-house settings.  His practice focuses on general corporate and securities law matters. Mr. Mendelson received his J.D. from New York Law School in 1992.  He received his B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany in 1989.


Michael Shaff – of counsel

Mr. Shaff’s practice includes all aspects of federal and state taxation, both on the planning and structuring of financing transactions and debt and equity offerings and in controversy matters with the IRS and FTB.
Mr. Shaff practiced tax law for five years in New York City and for three years in another California law firm.

John O’Leary – of counsel

John O’Leary serves as Of Counsel for Crone Law Group. Mr. O’Leary provides legal guidance to private companies going public through the registration of equity securities pursuant to the Securities Act of 1933 through underwritten initial public offerings and direct public offerings. Mr. O’Leary also advises public companies on reverse merger transactions, debt and equity financing, PIPE transactions, equity line funding, and other various corporate finance transactions. In addition, Mr. O’Leary advises public companies on change of control transactions, general corporate governance and compliance with stock exchange listing requirements.


Clark Trainor – of counsel

Mr. Trainor is an immigration attorney with over 17 years of experience. Mr. Trainor has worked for the United States Department of Homeland Security as an advising attorney to the Immigration Judges at the United States Immigration Court in Miami before serving as an Assistant District Counsel to the Citizenship and Immigration Service (then-INS) in the Miami District.


Peter B. Hirshfield – of counsel

Mr. Hirshfield works with emerging companies and entrepreneurs in all stages of their business life, from formation and routine business matters, through regulatory compliance, capital raising, restructuring, joint ventures and merger and acquisition transactions. Mr. Hirshfield has represented participants in
reverse merger transactions and currently represents one public company and several private companies.


Richard A. Ryan – of counsel

Richard A. Ryan is counsel to The Crone Law Group’s Intellectual Property practice.  Mr. Ryan is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office who primarily specializes in the preparation, filing and prosecution of patent and trademark and trademark applications.  With over 25 years experience as an attorney, he has assisted clients with obtaining over 250 patents.


Nancy Brenner – of counsel

Nancy Brenner has practiced corporate law at several prominent New York City law firms, with a focus on corporate securities, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital transactions. In the securities area, she has represented issuers in private and public offerings of debt and equity securities, including IPOs, secondary, and PIPE offerings.
